B. Primary objectives - the student will be able to:
1. Understand that God gave us the Bible as His only written Word.
2. Correctly identify the two parts of the Bible; Old and New Testaments.
3. Recite the books of the Bible, several Pslams and assorted verses
4. Identify the major characters in the Old Testament and
know for what they are most remembered for.
5. List the 32 events on the flashcards in order with Scripture references
6. Consistently participate in daily praying.
7. Describe in his own words: the basic Gospel, what sin is, what
obedience is, God’s love and forgiveness, God’s creative and
sustaining power, God’s holiness, and unchanging character.

5. Select synonyms and antonyms for words given.
6. Identify and use contractions.
7. Identify simple sentences, fragments, and complete sentences.
8. Use correct capitalization and puncuation.
9. Write a simple sentence and paragraph.

2. Identify upper and lower case letters of the alphabet.

5. Correctly identify and vocalize short vowel sounds to decode words
6. Use decoding skills to beginning reading primers about historical
events, characters, as well as fairy-tales and fantasy
7. Recall specific important details from stories and books read aloud
by the student or to the student.
8. Correctly form upper and lower-case letters using D’Nealian
manuscript.

FIRST GRADE MATH

B. Primary objectives - the student will be able to:
1. Demonstrate the understanding that God gave us numbers and
mathematical systems to help us in life and to also help us
understand His immutable (unchangeable) and logical character.
2. Explore the new ways of manipulating materials, (e.g. counting,
sorting, comparing sizes and shapes, and making designs and
patterns.)
3. Properly form written numbers.
4. Consistently arrange items to form according to their distinctive
properties or characteristics; i.e., practice noticing small details and
distinctions to aid in classifying.
5. Consistently and correctly count forward and backward by ones, twos,
fives, and tens to one hundred.
6. Compare length, quantity, weight, volume and duration (more or
less of an object).
7. Knowledge of how to create and use a graph.
8. Grasp a basic ten system.
9. Correctly recall the days of the week and months of the year.
10. Addition & Subtraction Facts 1 - 15, Two-digit addition.
11. Recognize and count coin denominations.
12. Correctly tell time in five minute intervals with 90% accuracy.

living in this area have changed over the period.
4. Recite US State and Capitals and the US Presidents.

levers and magnets.
4. Know about instinct and dominion studying animals from birth to death.
5. Know the importance of insects, butterfly metamorphosis, and ants.
6. Discover the uses and parts of a plant.
7. Know about the four seasons.
8. Understand that the greatness of nature’s design points to a Master Designer.
